February classes: Chicken Tajine
This is an in-person event!
Get ready to immerse yourself into the colors, smells and tastes of a Moroccan household! Learn to cook a mouthwatering chicken tajine with plums, dried apricots, almonds and sesame seeds. And you get to eat it, too!
What to expect:
As soon as you step in the door, you enter into a piece of Morocco: smells, colors and tastes - you will know it once you see it.
Moroccan mint tea with traditional snacks will welcome you to the kitchen.
My kitchen is large enough to comfortably fit 5 students and me as the instructor.
There is 1 cooktop, so all together we are cooking one pot/tajine per class. It is not like at a cooking school, where each student has their own pot to cook.
Students participate in prepping (like cutting, washing produce, etc), are encouraged to move around the kitchen, sniff what's in the pot, stir it to get a good understanding of colors and consistencies of the dish we are cooking.
When the dish is ready, we eat it all together while it's hot.
!! An added bonus of every class is a spice tour.
